Week 9 Thing 23
I can't believe I made it this far. I know I have definitely learned how to blog. We certainly had enough practice doing that. I have discovered many new things that I just did not know was out there. Flickr and image generator were my favorite discoveries. They are fun to play with. I also liked knowing about the zoho writer and would tell anyone how to do word processing without microsoft. I would do an exercise like this again, especially if we were given a bit more instruction during the process. I have become more computer literate, but I still am not up to speed enough to follow the 23 steps without someone to help me. It was such a whirlwind trip that I don't think I have a handle on any of the steps but at least I could explain what all the technical jargon is (as long as I didn't have to do it).
Week 9 Thing 22
I went to Project Gutenberg and was impressed by the number of titles. I had been here before and think it's a good idea for a student to download this book if he can't find it anywhere else. It is hard to read from a screen though. I prefer a book in hand.
Week 9 Thing 21
Wow! I have listened to several podcasts and could really get hooked on them. The comedy ones are probably my favorites.

Week 9 Thing 20
Week 8 Thing 19
I went to a site called bluerectangle. It was awesome. There were videos of people giving book reviews. I loved watching that part.
Week 8 Thing 18
I played with zoho writer and was glad to know there is a word processor out there that anyone can use.

Week 6 Thing 15
Library 2.0 makes us look critically at the collection of books we have "just in case." Reference books information can be found so much more easily online. The reference section of the library could be cut down substantially.
Library 2.0 also makes changes in the physical nature of a library. Before people had to go to the library to read from expensive journals and other informational books that were too expensive for most to buy. Now these items can be found at the patron's home through the web.

Week 6 Thing 14
I looked around technorati but did not find anything interesting. I used coffee as my tag, but all the blogs were hardly about coffee at all. I must need to be more specific when I use a tag.
Week 6 Thing 13
I tried several tags on delic.io.us and found it to be interesting. So much information it boggled the mind. I went into other blogger's sights which led me into more people's sights and so on.

Week 6 Thing 13
Library 2.0 is bringing the library to the people. Our physical space will be less important to finding information. We have to make the library people oriented. The library physical space will be a place to meet and exchange ideas or have clubs or entertain.
Week 6 thing 11
I can see using delic.io.us book marks to list in the Library Thing. I can also use it to move my bookmarks to any computer I am using.

Week 4 Thing 7
I like to use flickr and see all the pictures that are posted out there. There must be something for everything in the world.

Week 4 Thing 8
I set up an RSS with several feeds. There's just too much there to read. I can't keep up!
